Diwali falls in October or November, and mehndi is part of getting ready. Designs are festive rather than bridal — open mandalas, lotus, diyas and trailing vines — drawn freehand at the studio or at home.
Leicester’s Diwali is one of the largest celebrations outside India, so the week before is busy. Book early, and book the family together: one visit, everyone drawn in turn.

When should we book for Diwali?
A week or two ahead at least. The days just before Diwali fill first.
Do you come to the house?
Yes. A table, a chair and good light is all we need.
Will it be dark in time?
Have it drawn a day or two before. The stain starts orange and deepens to brown over about two days.
